Black Angus Steakhouse Opens 10th Restaurant In Greater Phoenix
North Scottsdale Location is Chain’s 82nd Restaurant in the U.S.
LOS ALTOS, CA – December 5, 2005 – Black Angus Steakhouse, with more than 80 locations in 10 states in the West and Midwest, announced today the opening of its 82th restaurant in North Scottsdale, Arizona. The new restaurant is the 10th Black Angus Steakhouse in the Greater Phoenix area.

The new restaurant is located across from the Harkins Theaters in the Scottsdale 101 entertainment, dining, and shopping complex at 7000 East Mayo Boulevard. Beginning today, the restaurant will be serving dinner from 4-10 PM Sunday – Thursday, and until 11 PM on Friday and Saturday. The restaurant will open for lunch on Monday, December 12th.

“We’re proud to bring another Black Angus Steakhouse to the Greater Phoenix area,” said Director of Operations Russ Birkland. “This new location is the first Black Angus Steakhouse serving the northern Scottsdale and Phoenix communities.”

Black Angus Steak House presented top-producer awards at their first annual awards gala, held at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas
Los Altos, CA March 16, 2005 Black Angus Steak House restaurants, with 88 locations in ten states throughout the West and Midwest, hosted their first annual Awards Gala, which recognized key management for financial success in 2004, at the MGM Grand Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada on March 7, 2005. Over 100 people from executives to field management to chefs were in attendance. The awards presented were as follows:

 Super Bonus Awards were given to 41 restaurants for exceeding their 2004 Profit Goals
 Six of the restaurants were recognized for additional success as $100,000 Club Winners
 Select managers received the highest honor, the CEO Award

Attendees were treated to a lovely luncheon banquet and Awards Ceremony, followed by a showing of the new Cirque du Soleil show, KA. Those individuals who achieved $100,000 Club Member status were given beautiful navy blue blazers with gold buttons and a 14-karat gold pin that says $100,000 Club.

The executive team at Black Angus has stated that these awards come at a crucial time as the restaurants are currently undergoing a financial reorganization and that the 2004 Awards Gala marks the future success of the brand.

According to Black Angus President and CEO Ralph Roberts, “There is no winning without celebration. We’re celebrating the winners who accomplished their goals. Winning is an attitude.
